What does “clothing optional” mean? A clothing-optional beach is a beach where it is widely accepted to be nude or to wear as little clothing as you wish. This means that visitors can decide whether or not they want to wear clothing. St Martin has an official nude beach and a variety of unofficial beaches where naturism is widely accepted tolerated and practiced.
Question: Is it allowable for women to go topless on St Martin.
Answer: Topless sunbathing is allowed on every beach on St Martin. There are some exceptions on the Dutch side of Sint Maarten where the beach may be situated on a hotel property. However there will be signs posted accordingly.

Answer: There are variety of hotels, naturist resort type properties and holiday homes, that feature adult only clothing optional swimming pools. Question: Are there restaurants and bars for nudists? IE; Beach Bars where naturists can eat and drink in the nude?
Answer: The only fully nude beach bar that we know of is the Perch Bar at Orient Beach. People spending the day on the nude side of Orient Bay can wander up to the Perch Bar and dine and drink in the buff. Not only is it allowed. Nudity is encouraged. At Cupecoy beach people frequently walk nude from there beach chair to Dany’s Beach Bar in order to grab a drink. *There is a sign at the Sunset Beach Bar stating “topless women drink for free” however we do not know if this is still the norm.
Question: Are there any nude boat cruises available on the Island?
